- Live Christmas trees (remove stand, ornaments and lights; ONLY ACCEPTED Dec. 26th through Jan. 31st)
- Textiles (clothes, linens, hats, shoes, etc.)
- Tires (passenger vehicle size; limit 4 per day)
- Used motor oil and filters (limit 5 gallons per day)
- Mixed recyclables that include:
— Mixed paper, chipboard, cardboard, magazines and office paper (NO food residue/liquids or wax coated paper)
— Steel cans, aluminum cans, pans and foil (NO food residue/liquids or propane tanks)
— Plastic bottles, jugs and jars (leave lids and caps on; NO non-bottle plastics or Styrofoam)
*Place glass food and beverage bottles, jugs and jars in the designated containers.
*Place shredded paper in the designated container.
SPECIAL MATERIALS:
- Large amounts of construction and demolition debris (sheeting, sinks, bricks, cabinets, etc.; large amounts = more than half the capacity of a 4'x6' pickup truck bed/trailer) must be taken to the York County Landfill (803) 628-3186
- Yard debris and oversized tires must be taken to the York County Landfill
- Household hazardous materials ARE NOT ACCEPTED at the Collection & Recycling Centers. Call (803) 628-3181 for information about collection events.
