Williams Middle School, located in Florence, is a great example of a collaborative partnership between the school employees and staff from SCDES's Bureau of Air Quality and Bureau of Environmental Services Region 4 to educate students and parents about important environmental issues by planning, designing, and constructing an Environmental Education Kiosk.

SC Watershed Atlas

SCDES's Watershed Atlas has multiple data layers and functions, and is mobile-ready. Users can add data, create layers from selected features, export attribute data, view watershed information at their current location, save their sessions, and restore sessions again later.

Sheltering During Disasters

General Sheltering

Shelters are generally the place of last resort. SCDES recommends that individuals who need to evacuate have plans already in place to stay with family, friends or in a hotel in the event of a disaster.  No emergency shelter will have the amenities and flexibilities that you have at home.  When planning for an evacuation, consider what aids may be needed for daily living. Narrative Flow

Introduction

Department staff had initially considered including revisions to address narrative flow standards during the 2022 triennial review. However, staff determined more stakeholder involvement was necessary to evaluate appropriate revisions to narrative flow standards. Therefore, a separate regulatory promulgation process to specifically address this issue was initiated by the Department in July 2022.
